Your first mod¶
Once your Game Path is set, DDMM opens on the Mods page: a dropdown of profiles at the top, your current profile's mod order in the middle, and three buttons — Add, Add Folder, Add URL — along the bottom.
Add a mod¶
Pick whichever matches what you have:
- A downloaded archive (
.zip,.7z,.rar): click Add and pick one or more archive files, or just drag the archive file(s) onto the DDMM window. - An already-extracted folder: click Add Folder and pick the folder, or drag the folder onto the window.
- A direct download link: click Add URL and paste an
https://link that serves the archive directly.
See Adding mods for the full picture, including AyakaMods, Nexus Mods, and other sites that don't serve a direct link.
A newly added mod shows up in your Library — the collapsible panel on the right edge of the mod list (click the arrow to open it). It isn't installed into the game yet; it's just known to DDMM.
Put it in your profile¶
From the Library, use the "insert at top" or "insert at bottom" button on a mod to add it to your current profile's list. Toggle it on with the switch next to it.
Deploy¶
Click Deploy. This copies the mod's files into your Helldivers 2 data folder, replacing whatever was deployed
before. See Deploy & purge for exactly what this does.
Click Launch to start the game through Steam, or launch it yourself as usual.
To remove every DDMM-deployed mod from the game again, use Purge.
